Armenia, Georgia strengthen military engagement

Georgian Minister of  Defence Irakli Chikovani and his Armenian counterpart Suren Papikyan are holding talks in Tbilisi.

The meeting is taking place at Georgia’s Ministry of Defence, where an official reception ceremony was held for Suren Papikyan, featuring a guard of honor and a military band, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media. 

The Armenian defence minister later shared video footage of the ceremony on his social media accounts.

Papikyan arrived in Georgia on an official visit the previous day. Upon his arrival, he was welcomed at the Sadakhlo border checkpoint by Paata Patiashvili, Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia.
