04 October 2024 16:14

A NATO delegation, led by Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak, Chief of the NATO International Military Staff, arrived in Armenia on October 3 for a working visit.

During their stay, the delegation held bilateral discussions with Armenia's First Deputy Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, as well as Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department at the Defense Ministry.

The meetings took place at the administrative complex of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The discussions covered a broad range of topics, with a particular focus on the current state of Armenia-NATO cooperation and opportunities for its further development.

The most effective areas of collaboration were identified, and the Armenian side provided updates on reforms within the Armenian Armed Forces. In addition, both parties addressed regional security concerns and shared their perspectives on international military-political developments.
