Armenia, India agree to continue defence cooperation

Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan received General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, who is on an official visit to Armenia, according to the Armenian Ministry of Defence.

“Minister Papikyan highly appreciated the current level of Armenia-India defence cooperation, emphasising the importance of regularly implementing interaction programs," Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

General Chauhan expressed the Indian Armed Forces’ readiness to continue developing cooperation in existing areas, as well as to initiate new areas of mutual interest.

The meeting also included discussions on regional and international security issues,” the statement said.
