Armenia, India boost defence ties in high-level talks

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Chief of the Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan, to discuss avenues for enhanced defence cooperation, says a statement from the Armenian government’s press service.

Speaking on the occasion, Pashinyan expressed optimism that Chauhan’s visit would serve as a catalyst for deepening bilateral relations. He underscored the centuries-old friendship between Armenia and India and highlighted the ongoing, active dialogue across multiple sectors.

General Chauhan, in turn, described the discussions with Armenian counterparts as productive and aimed at fostering further collaboration in the defence sphere.
