13 July 2022 16:53

Armenian Environment Minister Hakob Simidyan has discussed issues of cooperation with Iranian Vice-President, and Head of Department of Environment Ali Salajegheh during a working visit to Iran.

Caliber.Az reports referring to the Armenian media, citing the press service of the ministry.

Simidyan and Salajegheh took part in discussions on the topic "Cooperation in the field of ecology for a better future."

“Armenian-Iranian relations are at a high level, as a result of our cooperation in various fields, significant results have already been recorded. And the environmental partnership is developing quite dynamically and effectively,” Simidyan noted.

The parties discussed the steps to be taken within the framework of the memorandum signed between the countries at the 17th meeting of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission.

Simidyan and Salajegheh also considered issues related to the work on the Araz River, which flows on the border.
