Armenia, Iran discuss prospects for diesel fuel, LPG supplies

Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan and Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgolami have discussed prospects for diesel fuel and LPG supplies, the Armenian Economy Ministry has said.

It noted that the sides focused on the development of bilateral economic cooperation, expanding trade and investment, infrastructure development and business ties, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

According to Papoyan, the high level of political dialogue between the two countries should help achieve more tangible economic results, including increasing the presence of Armenian products on the Iranian market and making effective use of the opportunities offered by the Eurasian Economic Union-Iran Free Trade Agreement.

The officials paid particular attention to cooperation in the energy and logistics sectors, as well as prospects for long-term supplies of diesel fuel and liquefied gas.

Papoyan proposed expanding cooperation in trade and exports, joint production and investment, energy and logistics, while continuing to improve border procedures.
