Armenia launches dozens of criminal cases over election violations
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee has launched 43 criminal investigations into alleged election-related violations since February 7, 2026.
As Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media, the cases involve allegations of offering and accepting electoral bribes, mediating the transfer of bribes, violating restrictions on charitable activities during the election period, and other actions aimed at obstructing the exercise of electoral rights and financially incentivizing participation in political gatherings.
According to the committee, 67 individuals have been detained as part of 14 separate cases, while criminal charges have been brought against 75 people.
The Anti-Corruption Committee has called on citizens to refrain from participating in electoral bribery schemes and warned against involvement in activities that undermine the integrity of the electoral process.
