Armenia lifts travel ban on former defence minister
03 December 2025 19:35
Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Court has lifted a travel ban previously imposed on former Defence Minister and head of the Armenia parliamentary faction, Seyran Ohanyan.
The travel restriction, introduced in the summer of 2025, was part of an ongoing criminal case involving the former minister. At a recent hearing, the court approved a motion filed by Ohanyan’s lawyer, Inessa Petrosyan, who argued for the removal of the measure, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
In its decision, the court noted Ohanyan’s compliance with legal procedures and overall good behavior during the investigation. Further details of the case have not been disclosed publicly.
