Armenia may sign peace treaty with Azerbaijan by late 2022

Armenian Security Council Secretary Armenian Grigoryan has said that his country will try to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan by late 2022.

Armenia continues to work on the text of the peace treaty and the edited version will soon be handed over to Baku, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media.

"We will make every effort to get a peace treaty by the end of the year. However, it is difficult to say whether it will be possible to do this," Grigoryan said.

He explained that at the moment Yerevan is working on the text of the agreement, which is broader than the five points previously submitted by Azerbaijan. Grigoryan noted that it touches upon the topic of Karabakh without mentioning the name.
