Armenia requests US market access for vegetable exports
After securing access to the European Union market, Armenia has formally requested permission from Washington to begin exporting Armenian vegetables to the United States.
According to reports from Armenian media cited by Caliber.Az on Thursday, July 16, Armenia's Ambassador to the US, Narek Mkrtchyan, met with Daniel Whitley, the head of the US Foreign Agricultural Service, to discuss the initiative.
An official statement from the Armenian Embassy confirmed that the meeting focused on the potential for exporting Armenian agricultural products to the US market. The discussions specifically addressed market entry procedures, existing regulations, and the necessary prerequisites to promote these exports.
Additionally, the two officials discussed prospects for establishing direct business connections between relevant private companies in both countries to develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
