Armenia restricts airspace ahead of major international summits

Armenia’s Civil Aviation Committee has issued a statement announcing restrictions on the country’s airspace, according to Armenian media.

“Due to the holding of large-scale events in the Republic of Armenia from May 3 to May 5, 2026 (the 8th EPC Summit, the Armenia–EU Summit, the Yerevan Dialogue) and the participation of numerous foreign delegations in these events, we inform you that from May 3 to May 5, 2026, for security reasons, all general aviation, including civilian unmanned aerial vehicles, is prohibited in the airspace of the Republic of Armenia,” the statement from the Committee said.
