Armenia, Rosatom discuss extension of nuclear plant’s second unit

Armenian and Russian specialists discussed progress on extending the operating life of Armenia’s nuclear power plant and the further implementation of the project.

The fifth meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee, focused on the implementation of the program to further extend the operating life of the plant’s second power unit, was held in Yerevan on Monday, the press service of Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure reported.

The meeting was attended by Kirill Komarov, First Deputy CEO of Rosatom, as well as representatives of the management of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and Armenian and Russian industry organisations.
