Armenia’s exports to EU soar past $500 million in first half of 2026
Armenia’s exports to European Union countries exceeded $516 million in January-June 2026, marking an increase of more than 80% compared with the same period last year, the Armenian government’s press service said on Facebook.
The figure compares with approximately $287 million recorded in the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, exports to the EU were more than 71% higher than in the same period in 2017, when they stood at around $301 million, the statement said.
According to data from Armenia’s Statistical Committee reviewed by TASS, imports also increased by 28.4% during the reporting period, rising from $1.007 billion to $1.293 billion.
Earlier, citing data from the Statistical Committee, TASS reported that trade turnover between Armenia and Russia fell by 20.9% from January to June 2026, while Armenia’s overall trade turnover declined by 0.1% to $9.571 billion.
