Armenia's former president's son remains behind bars

The son of ex-President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, Levon Kocharyan, had his arrest extended for two months.

On October 16, the investigative body petitioned to extend Kocharyan’s arrest, lawyer Alexander Kochubaev reported on the social media, Caliber.Az reports.

“The court granted the request. Levon Kocharyan was arrested for two months,” Kochubaev noted.

To recap, on September 22, Levon Kocharyan was detained during anti-government protests on suspicion of beating four police officers. The court later arrested him.
