Armenia’s Investigative Committee questions former Karabakh separatists' leader
The former leader of Karabakh separatists, Samvel Shahramanyan, is currently undergoing questioning at Armenia’s Investigative Committee.
According to Caliber.Az, citing Armenian media outlets, the information was confirmed to journalists by Shahramanyan’s lawyer, Roman Yeritsyan.
“This is another interrogation. The criminal case is connected both to the 44-day war in 2020 and to the events of 2023, as well as to the alleged damage purportedly inflicted on Armenia by the Karabakh information headquarters,” the lawyer said.
Yeritsyan also noted that Shahramanyan has already been questioned extensively in connection with this case. He stated that in June and July 2025 alone, Shahramanyan was summoned for interrogation 12 times.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been disclosed by the authorities at this stage.
