Armenia's Pashinyan reveals creation of US-backed fund for TRIPP initiative
A special fund has been created in the United States to finance the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) initiative and other regional projects, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said following a government meeting.
“The United States has made a preliminary decision on financing and has established a fund through which the TRIPP project and other regional initiatives are expected to be financed,” he told reporters.
Pashinyan said he did not want to provide inaccurate information and therefore refrained from disclosing specific figures, but noted that “a substantial fund has been allocated.”
On August 8, 2025, following a trilateral meeting in Washington with US President Donald Trump, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint declaration on a peace settlement between Baku and Yerevan and the establishment of a transport link connecting mainland Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan.
The initiative was named the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).
