Armenia's PM convenes Security Council amid Iran escalation

On March 1, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting of the Security Council a day after the start of military operations against Iran, per the government press service.
The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Kristine Grigoryan, delivered a report. The meeting participants expressed regret over the events and condolences for the loss of life, emphasising the need to establish peace as soon as possible, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Following the discussion, the prime minister gave a number of instructions.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan also participated in the meeting, although they are not members of the Security Council.
