Armenia's premier hopes US to prioritise peace in South Caucasus
Armenia hopes that the establishment of peace in the South Caucasus will be a priority for the US political elite, said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
He made the remarks at a meeting with members of the Save Armenia organisation in Washington, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“If you ask what is the most effective way to support Armenia from the US viewpoint, I would say that including the agenda of achieving peace in the South Caucasus in the US political elite's list of priorities would be very important,” he said.
According to Pashinyan, Armenia is striving for democracy.
“We are trying to deepen democracy and put it on an institutional basis so that it does not depend on the political will of the ruling forces,” the prime minister added.
