Armenia’s top diplomat calls for deeper regional collaboration
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to regional cooperation and engagement in multilateral platforms.
According to Armenian media cited by Caliber.Az, Mirzoyan made the remarks during a conference organized by the Orbeli analytical center titled “Peace Quiz: A Conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.”
The Foreign Minister underlined that relations with Armenia’s immediate neighbors hold a special place in the country’s foreign policy. “We have excellent relations with two of them, while relations with the other two are being developed,” he said.
Mirzoyan noted that Armenia is interested not only in strengthening bilateral ties but also in expanding regional multilateral cooperation. He added that there are areas of foreign policy where the views of the three countries in the region could coincide.
“We are destined to cooperate,” Mirzoyan stated, emphasizing that Armenia is also interested in participating in the 3+3 regional format.
