Armenia schedules parliamentary elections for June 7
06 February 2026 19:10
Armenia’s next regular elections to the National Assembly will be held on June 7, following a decree signed by President Vahagn Khachaturyan on February 6.
The vote is expected to be one of the most significant political events in the country in recent years, taking place against a backdrop of rising domestic political tensions and increased external pressures on Armenia, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has presented the upcoming elections as a pivotal choice for voters, framing them as a decision between preserving peace and entering a period of uncertainty. He has emphasised the need for stability in the aftermath of years of regional conflict.
