Armenia searching for Wagner mercenaries
The Armenian National Security Service is still checking the information about the arrival of numerous Wagner Group mercenaries in Armenia.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in the parliament in September that the information about the presence of the Wagner Group mercenaries in Armenia has gone viral in Telegram and the National Security Service, within its powers, verifies this information, Caliber.Az reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
Rumours about the presence of Wagner Group mercenaries in Armenia before the elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders were disseminated by one of the pro-government news websites. At first, the matter rested in about 3,000 people, then about 12,000.
According to the Telegram, they were supposed to carry out a coup and oust Pashinyan.
