Armenia seeks peace with Azerbaijan Yerevan has big hopes for Granada meeting

Yerevan is ready to sign a peace treaty with Baku.

The statement came from the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan on September 24, Caliber.Az informs.

Simonyan's remarks came in response to a question about the possibility of signing a peace agreement at a meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Granada, Spain, in October.

He stated that Yerevan would very much like “to see a step forward taken in this regard.”

“We want to use this historic chance. Nobody needs an eternal war. We are ready for this,” Simonyan noted.
