Armenia sends humanitarian aid to Iran
23 March 2026 12:08
Armenia has sent its first shipment of humanitarian aid to Iran since the start of the ongoing military operation in the region.
Ararat Mirzoyan, the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, confirmed the aid delivery during a session of the parliamentary foreign affairs committee, Caliber.Az reports.
He stated that the aid, which consists mainly of medical supplies, aims to address the humanitarian needs in Iran.
In a separate development, Armenia has requested a third package of non-lethal military assistance from the European Union.
This follows the approval of two previous aid packages: the first, worth €10 million, in July 2024, and the second, amounting to €20 million, in January 2026.
