Armenia sentences Azerbaijani serviceman to life imprisonment

Azerbaijani private Huseyn Axundov, who is in captivity in Armenia, was sentenced to life imprisonment.

The punishment of Huseyn Axundov, accused of murdering a security guard of the Zangezur copper-molybdenum plant, and sentenced to 20 years, was replaced by life imprisonment, APA reports, citing the Armenian media.

The Armenian Criminal Court of Appeal considered the complaint of the legal heirs of security guard Hayrapet Meliktsetyan.

Azerbaijani private Babirov Agshin, 2004, and Akhundov Huseyn, 2003, went missing due to limited visibility and unfavorable weather conditions on the territory of Shahbuz District of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic bordering Armenia and were captured by Armenians.
