Armenia, Serbia forge defence cooperation
Armenia and Serbia are poised to strengthen their defence ties through a forthcoming agreement, as disclosed by the Armenian Defence Ministry to local media.
On June 4, Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan held discussions with Serbian Ambassador to Armenia Tatjana Panajotovic Cvetkovic and Defence Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Zvezdan Krichak (residing in Tehran).
Minister Papikyan extended congratulations to Lieutenant Colonel Krichak on his accreditation in Armenia, expressing hopes for fruitful collaboration.
The meeting encompassed discussions on bilateral defence cooperation between the two nations. An agreement was reached to initiate efforts towards signing a formal agreement on defence cooperation between the governments of Armenia and Serbia.
Additionally, deliberations delved into ongoing reforms within the Armenian Armed Forces and regional security concerns.
