Armenia to allocate over $4 million for "unforeseen" defence expenses

The Armenian Defence Ministry will receive 1.805 billion drams (about $4.4 million) for "unforeseen" expenses.

A corresponding resolution was adopted at a meeting of the country's government on October 6, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The ministry’s explanatory note reads that the need for allocations arose due to unforeseen expenses of primary importance aimed at ensuring the sustainability of current activities.

The defence budget of Armenia for 2022 increased by 11 per cent and was set at about 345 billion drams ($850 million).
