Armenia to audit political parties over suspected financial irregularities
29 October 2025 18:29
Armenia’s Corruption Prevention Commission has announced plans to scrutinize the financial reports of political parties where significant discrepancies have been detected.
During parliamentary budget hearings, commission member Mariam Galstyan explained that the review will encompass not only parties receiving state funding but also those that participated in elections during the reporting year, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The move comes in the context of concerns raised by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who previously warned that non-transparent activities by political parties could call into question their eligibility to participate in future elections.
