Armenia to establish rapid response medical team
Armenia will establish a Rapid Response Medical Team (RRMT) to provide urgent medical assistance during emergencies and to participate in international humanitarian missions, according to a resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The new unit will be deployed to assist victims in emergency situations within Armenia, including natural disasters and other large-scale incidents requiring coordinated medical intervention. In addition to its domestic role, the team will be eligible to take part in humanitarian operations abroad, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
The government said the initiative is aimed at strengthening the country’s emergency medical response capacity and enhancing its ability to contribute to international relief efforts.
The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will jointly oversee the process of establishing and organizing the Rapid Response Medical Team.
