Armenia to reinforce combat positions with reservists
Armenia has announced plans to reinforce its combat positions by conducting military training for reservists from April 1 to June 13, 2025. The exercise will involve members of the first group, first and second categories of the reserve.
The decision was approved by the Armenian government on March 6. The training will include reserve personnel from the ranks of privates, sergeants, and officers, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
"The primary goal of these exercises is to enhance the military skills of reservists, provide professional retraining, and prepare reserve officers from among sergeants with higher education. Additionally, reservists will be involved in combat duty," the statement reads.
Each participant will serve for a maximum of 25 calendar days, allowing a significant number of reservists to refresh their military skills without prolonged disruption from their civilian lives, it adds.
