Armenia to skip CSTO summit, backs collective decisions
Armenian representatives will not participate in the upcoming Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit in Bishkek, though Yerevan has indicated that it does not oppose the adoption of documents affecting the entire bloc during the meeting.
This was confirmed by Yury Ushakov, Aide to the President of Russia, during a briefing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“As for Armenia, the country will not participate, but its representatives have indicated that they do not object to the adoption of agreed-upon documents at the meeting,” Ushakov stated.
The forthcoming CSTO summit is scheduled for November 11, 2026 in Moscow, during which it will be confirmed that the organization’s chairmanship will transfer to the Russian Federation effective January 1, 2026.
