Armenia to spend over $1 million on concert for Emmanuel Macron

The Armenian government will allocate more than $1 million to organise a concert in Gyumri on May 5 as part of French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit.

The decision was approved during a cabinet meeting. Macron is set to pay a state visit to Armenia from May 3 to 5, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.

During the trip, the French president will hold talks with the country’s leadership and take part in the European Political Community summit on May 4, before travelling to Gyumri. 

There, he is expected to pay tribute to the victims of the 1988 Spitak earthquake.
