Armenia to strengthen military intelligence units
Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan has announced the start of the certification program for servicemen. Special Forces will be the first to participate in the program.
The Armenian Defence Minister together with Head of the General Staff Edvard Asryan visited one of the military units on the occasion of the reconnaissance officers' professional holiday, Caliber.Az reports quoting Armenian media.
Papikyan said that "in the near future all necessary prerequisites and conditions will be created to increase the level of combat and physical readiness of military reconnaissance units, and new, modern reconnaissance equipment will be purchased".
He also announced the launch of a new certification program for military servicemen with subsequent increase of their salaries. According to him, special forces troops will be the first to participate in the program.
