Armenia, US hold strategic cooperation talks
Armenia and the United States have engaged in high-level discussions covering a broad range of strategic cooperation issues, the Armenian Embassy in Washington, D.C. said.
Armenian Ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, met with US House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast to discuss ongoing bilateral initiatives, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
The talks focused on the implementation of agreements reached in Washington on August 8, the evolving regional dynamics arising from these accords, and the launch of promising joint programmes.
On August 8, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, mediated by US President Donald Trump, initialled a peace agreement and signed a joint declaration in Washington, committing to end hostilities, establish diplomatic relations, and advance regional cooperation.
