Armenia, US launch joint military exercise Eagle Partner 2024 PHOTO
The Armenian Defence Ministry announced the commencement of the joint Armenian-American exercise Eagle Partner 2024 at the Vazgen Sargsyan Military University on July 15.
Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan, US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien, and other officials attended the opening ceremony, Caliber.Az reports citing the Armenian media.
Papikyan praised the cooperation, emphasising its role in enhancing interaction among units involved in international peacekeeping missions. The exercise includes military personnel from the peacekeeping brigade of the Armenian Armed Forces, US Army Europe and Africa, and the Kansas Army National Guard.
Armenia and the US have a history of military cooperation, often focusing on joint exercises and training initiatives aimed at enhancing interoperability and peacekeeping capabilities. These collaborations typically involve the exchange of military personnel, joint exercises, and shared strategies to bolster regional security and stability. Exercises like Eagle Partner 2024 underscore their ongoing commitment to strengthening bilateral defence ties and readiness for international peacekeeping missions.
