On August 22, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan met with the United States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Kristina Kvien.

According to Armenian media, quoted by Caliber.Az, the discussions focused on the agreements reached in Washington as part of the ongoing efforts to normalise relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress made during these talks.

The meeting also addressed the issue of unblocking regional communication routes.

Grigoryan stressed that any unblocking process would be implemented in full adherence to the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction, and reciprocity of the countries involved.

In addition, Grigoryan and Ambassador Kvien discussed the broader agenda of Armenian-American bilateral relations and explored potential next steps to further strengthen cooperation between the two nations.
