Armenian ambassador meets Trump as US reaffirms backing for peace process

Armenia’s ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, held talks with US President Donald Trump at a ceremony marking the appointment of new foreign diplomats.

President Trump praised the leadership of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, highlighting his significant role in advancing the peace process, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

In a gesture of recognition, Trump presented Pashinyan with a personalised gift.

The US President also extended his greetings to the Armenian people, emphasising their right to live in stability and peace, and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the ongoing peace efforts.
