Armenian Anti-Corruption Court voids land contract tied to former president
21 April 2026 09:20
An Armenian court has invalidated another transaction linked to former President Serzh Sargsyan, ordering the confiscation of approximately $800,000 in favour of the state.
According to Armenian media reports cited by Caliber.Az, the country’s Anti-Corruption Court ruled that a land sale agreement signed on December 17, 2005, between Sargsyan and a private individual is legally void.
The case concerns a 1.4514-hectare land plot located on Admiral Isakov Avenue in Yerevan’s Malatia-Sebastia district.
Under the court’s ruling, the monetary value of the land — estimated at $800,000 — will be recovered from the private individual and transferred to the Republic of Armenia.
