Armenian apricots reach Madrid wholesale market VIDEO
12 August 2026 13:04
Armenian apricots have appeared at Mercamadrid, Madrid’s wholesale market.
According to political commentator Gagik Mkrtchyan of Freenews, one box costs €30, with delivery within Spain costing a further €20, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Armenia has previously announced plans to expand apricot exports to European markets. In June, the country agreed to send large consignments of apricots to Poland.
Against the backdrop of restrictions from Russia, Armenian authorities have also stressed the need to diversify export destinations.
Mkrtchyan noted that Armenian apricots are being sold in a country that itself supplies apricots across Europe.
