Armenian authorities ban separatists’ symbols at Yerevan event

The Armenian authorities banned the performance of the “anthem” and the display of the “coat of arms” of the so-called “Artsakh” at the cultural event “We Are,” which took place on January 18 in Yerevan.

Authorities also set a ban on publishing the names of event sponsors and a high rental fee for the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex (SKK), where the event was held, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

The administration of the complex justified the restrictions by stating that “the anthem could not be performed because the state it represents does not exist.”
