Armenian authorities search home of opposition figure

Security forces in Armenia carried out a search at the home of pundit and opposition party “Mother Armenia” board member Yervand Bozoyan, according to a statement from the party published on Telegram.

“Early this morning, officers from the Investigative Committee broke into the apartment of pundit and 'Mother Armenia' board member Yervand Bozoyan,” the party said, adding that his residence was searched.

The statement also said Bozoyan had been summoned for questioning at 10:00 a.m. local time at an investigative department near his place of residence.

Authorities have not yet publicly commented on the reason for the search or any potential charges.
