Armenian authorities uncover key evidence in Parakar leader murder
The Armenian Investigative Committee has provided new information regarding the arrest of a suspect in the killing of the Parakar community leader.
Armenian media, cited by Caliber.Az, reported that investigators recovered numerous items from the suspect that link him to the crime, including a mask, gloves, shoes, a raincoat, and night vision goggles reportedly used during the murder.
The suspect had attempted to destroy these items by burning them.
Authorities are continuing efforts to locate the automatic weapon used to fatally shoot Volodia Grigoryan. The detainee has been identified as 29-year-old Narek Ohanian. He is the cousin of Mher Akhtoyan, the former head of Merdzavan village and member of the ruling Civil Contract party, and the brother of Grigor Ohanian, who was killed in February during an attack on Akhtoyan’s residence.
