Armenian aviation remains on EU “blacklist” after new violations found
03 February 2026 14:46
Armenian aviation will not yet be removed from the EU “blacklist” due to newly identified violations, David Khudatyan, Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, said at a press conference.
Khudatyan noted that while 40 previously identified deficiencies have been addressed, new issues have emerged, Caliber.Az reports.
The Civil Aviation Committee is working to resolve them. The new shortcomings are mostly technical, though some require legislative and structural reforms.
Last summer, the European Commission conducted a monitoring visit to Armenia, based on which a decision to remove the country from the “blacklist” was expected in December.
