Armenian, Azerbaijani ministers hold brief talks in Istanbul PHOTO
Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan attended the Global Zero Waste Forum in Istanbul, Türkiye, on November 28, where he held a brief discussion with Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov.
Papoyan wrote on his Facebook page that he also held short talks with the agriculture ministers of Türkiye, Iran, Moldova, and Iraq during the event, Caliber.Az reports.

He highlighted that around two dozen ministers overseeing the agricultural sector, along with other high-ranking officials and policymakers, participated in the conference to promote the “zero waste” concept on a global level.

The Global Zero Waste Forum is an international conference organised by Zero Waste Foundation under the patronage of the First Lady of Türkiye and in cooperation with the United Nations and relevant ministries.
The forum’s agenda covers broad themes like transforming policy to practice; scaling up sustainable solutions; mobilizing finance for zero‑waste projects; and building alliances across nations, sectors and communities.
Its overarching mission is to shift global consumption and waste‑management paradigms toward prevention at the source, encouraging sustainable production, consumption habits, recycling, circular economy approaches, and mindful use of resources.
