Armenian chief of general staff visits India for defence talks

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Edvard Asryan, has arrived in India for an official visit, according to the Armenian Ministry of Defence, as reported by Sputnik Armenia.

During the visit, Asryan held a one-on-one meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, Anil Chauhan. The two officials later continued discussions in an expanded format.

According to the statement, the sides discussed cooperation between Armenia and India in the defence sector and reviewed the results of their bilateral cooperation plan. They also exchanged views on regional security issues and agreed to deepen collaboration across multiple areas.

Asryan also met with the Chief of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh. The officials discussed further prospects for military cooperation between the two countries.
