Armenian Chief of the General Staff discusses cooperation issues in India
On March 2-4, the delegation headed by Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Major General Edward Asryan paid a visit to India.
As Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media, that within the framework of the visit, the Armenian delegation discussed issues of bilateral cooperation with Indian colleagues.
According to a report issued by the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry on March 6, the delegation took part in the Raisina Dialogue international conference dedicated to the problems of global security.
In addition, Asryan met with the Chief of Defense Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan. The parties considered a number of issues related to bilateral relations and regional security, including the possibility of expanding the partnership between Yerevan and New Delhi in the defence sector.
During the visit, Asryan also took part in a discussion on regional security and bilateral defence cooperation, organized by the National Security Council of India. The major general informed his Indian colleagues about the "challenges" that Armenia faced.
It is noted that Yerevan and New Delhi have recently noticeably intensified cooperation in a number of areas, including in the military sphere.
