Armenian court orders seizure of ex-president Sargsyan's assets
06 July 2026 17:42
Armenia's Anti-Corruption Court has ordered the confiscation of assets belonging to former President Serzh Sargsyan and individuals linked to him, including about 630 million drams ($1.7 million) and part of a property in Yerevan.
The court partially upheld a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office seeking the confiscation of assets alleged to have been acquired through illicit means, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
Under the ruling, the state is to receive 38% of an apartment on Teryan Street, one parking space in full and a 38% share in another parking space.
Serzh Sargsyan served as the third President of Armenia (2008–2018) and twice as Prime Minister (2007–2008 and briefly in April 2018).
