Armenian defence chief oversees border fortifications, honors frontline troops

On October 30, Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan, accompanied by Artur Poghosyan, Chairman of the Armenian Investigative Committee, and other senior officials, conducted an inspection of fortification and engineering works along Armenia’s southeastern border with Azerbaijan.

The Ministry of Defence of Armenia reported that following the inspection, Minister Papikyan and Chairman Poghosyan visited military positions and engaged with on-duty personnel, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

The officials also recognized and rewarded several servicemen for their exemplary service, presenting them with honorary certificates and valuable keepsakes in acknowledgment of their dedication and professionalism.
