Armenian deputy PM, Iranian ambassador talk over regional issues
Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan held discussions with Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, addressing topics on the bilateral agenda.
Officials exchanged views on the progress of infrastructure projects and regional developments, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The meeting underscored the importance of cooperation between Armenia and Iran in advancing mutual interests, particularly in the context of ongoing regional processes.
To recall, Iranian company Tunnel Sadd Ariana is constructing the southernmost section of Armenia's North-South national highway, stretching from Agarak (on the border with Iran) to Kajaran.
Meantime, the company Sunir is building Armenia's first 400 kV power transmission line, running from the border with Iran to the centre of the country (the village of Ddmashen near the shores of Lake Sevan).
