Armenian doctor enters Turkish parliament

Following the results of the parliamentary elections in Türkiye, Armenian doctor Sevan Sevacoglu entered the parliament.

According to Milliyet, Sevacoglu is included in the electoral list of the ruling Justice and Development Party.

Sevan Sevacoglu is one of the active members of the Armenian community in Istanbul. He received a medical degree from Istanbul University. The doctor works in the Armenian hospital in Istanbul and in the hospital in Ajbadem. He also participated in the Armenian Patriarch of Istanbul elections in 2019 as part of 12 delegates.

Sevacoglu is married and has 2 daughters.
