Armenian FM reaffirms commitment to deepening ties with EU
Armenia is continuing to deepen its relations with the European Union, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said on January 28 during his address to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg, France.
Mirzoyan stated that Armenia’s parliament has previously adopted a law that makes the aspiration for EU membership and efforts toward achieving that goal mandatory for any Armenian government, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
He noted that Armenia is taking multiple steps in this direction, including advancing sectoral integration, pursuing visa liberalisation, and participating in a range of EU programmes.
The foreign minister expressed hope that joint efforts between Armenia and the EU will continue.
